Good questions!
Everything you need to know before we get started.
Every project starts with a conversation to determine where you're at and what you need. From there, I'll put together a clear scope and proposal before anything is committed to.
1
How does the process work?
Do you work with clients outside of Canberra?
2
Absolutely. I work with clients across Australia. In today’s virtual environment, projects run very smoothly over video calls and email.
How long does a typical project take?
3
It depends on the scope, but as a general guide: a website refresh takes 2–4 weeks, a full website build takes 4–8 weeks, and ongoing marketing support starts within a week of signing on. I'll always give you a clear timeline before we begin.
Do you offer packages or is everything custom?
4
A bit of both. I have a general structure for ongoing marketing support, but every engagement is scoped around what you actually need. If something doesn't apply to your business, it won't be in your proposal.
5
Can I make changes to my website myself after handover?
Yes. Every website project includes a handover where I can provide training so you can confidently manage updates yourself. You shouldn't need to come back to me every time you want to change a photo.
6
What do you need from me to get started?
Not as much as you'd think. A discovery call, some basic information about your business and your goals, and any existing brand assets you have. If you don't have those yet, we can work through that together too.
How do we communicate throughout a project?
7
However works best for you. I find most clients prefer a mix of email and scheduled check-ins. I'll set clear touch points throughout the project so you always know where things are at.
Can I hire you for a one-off project, or is it ongoing only?
8
Both are absolutely fine. Some clients come to me for a single website refresh and we part ways happy. Others turn into long-term partnerships. There's no pressure either way.
What happens if I want to pause or stop my ongoing marketing support?
9
Life happens, and businesses change. I ask for 30 days notice to wind down or pause ongoing work. That gives us enough time to wrap things up properly and make sure nothing is left hanging. There are no lock-in contracts or penalty clauses.
